Supplier Quality Engineer (Electronics)
Our client is a rapidly growing, global medical device company at the forefront of innovative wearable healthcare technology. With a strong track record of improving patient outcomes worldwide, they are continuing significant expansion and building a Centre of Excellence to support their global footprint.
They are seeking a high-performing Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to support their Electronics category and drive supplier excellence across a complex, regulated environment.
This is a critical, high-visibility role responsible for supplier quality governance, performance monitoring, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across electronics manufacturing suppliers.
The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, and Procurement while partnering directly with global suppliers to strengthen quality systems and ensure production continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Supplier Quality Engineering activities supporting electronics sourcing strategies
- Ensure supplier governance and quality system effectiveness
- Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards to assess supplier performance
- Drive supplier performance improvement and accountability
- Lead root cause analysis and Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs)
- Support PPAP, DOE, SPC, G R&R, control plans, and inspection procedures
- Conduct supplier audits (QMS, process, and for-cause audits)
- Support sustaining and new product initiatives (cost reduction, dual sourcing, capacity expansion, risk mitigation)
- Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory standards
Technical Expertise Required
- Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes:
- PCBAs, PCBs, electronic sub-assemblies
- Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
- In-Circuit Testing (ICT)
- Functional Circuit Testing (FCT)
- Reliability testing
- Experience with supplier selection and supplier performance management
- Strong understanding of QMS systems and regulatory frameworks (21 CFR Part 820, Part 11, IPC-A-610)
- Proven ability to analyze quality data and develop actionable dashboards/reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in:
- Medical device supplier quality
- Quality engineering
- Manufacturing engineering
- Experience in plastics manufacturing/materials is a plus
